Apr 4, 2023
KRONUS aimed to implement the EX Index survey as part of a broader shift to deepen their understanding of employee experience while enhancing engagement and response rates. Moving away from traditional employee engagement surveys and minimizing the use of paper surveys, they sought to adopt a more efficient and fully digital approach to capture insights more effectively. A key challenge was motivating employees, particularly those in production roles, to participate and ensuring they could seamlessly complete the survey online. Additionally, KRONUS was looking for a solution that would enable faster, more streamlined data analysis, providing deeper insights and facilitating quicker, data-driven decision-making.

Key Challenges

Encouraging Employee Participation

Engaging employees, especially in production, to participate in the survey presented a significant challenge.

Transitioning to Digital Surveys

Moving from traditional paper surveys to digital platforms required clear communication and user-friendly guidance to ensure smooth adoption across the workforce.

Data Analysis

The need for an interactive tool that could easily analyse and visualize different segments of data across the organization was essential for quicker decision-making.

Solutions

Communication Plan

A structured, timely communication plan was developed to ensure employees understood the purpose and importance of the survey.

QR Code Posters

QR codes were placed on posters, making it easy for employees to access the survey digitally and participate with minimal effort.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Clear, concise instructions were provided to support employees in completing the digital survey, particularly for those less familiar with technology.

Survey Completion Assistance

On-site support was available to assist employees who needed help with the digital survey.

Interactive Power BI Report

An interactive Power BI report was created to visualize and analyse the survey results in real-time, allowing for deeper insights and more dynamic reporting across different segments of the organization.

Results

KRONUS achieved an outstanding 81% response rate marking a 10 percentage point improvement compared to previously carried out surveys, and 7 percentage points higher than the average response rate based on ERDA’s experience.

The transition to digital surveys boosted participation and reduced time spent on data collection and analysis, while also minimizing the number of incomplete paper surveys that hindered data entry and impacted the response rate.

Power BI played a crucial role in simplifying data analysis, reducing report generation time by half

and minimizing the number of people involved. The streamlined process enabled KRONUS to analyse data more efficiently across different departments, demographic roles, and other key segments. This flexibility allowed for deeper insights and faster delivery of results, providing timely, actionable information to support informed decision-making.
